Let's look at the Mets injured last shall we:
Player, injury (original length of injury) Return time
J.J. Putz out with right elbow surgery. (8-10 weeks)
Return: Unknown
J.J. Putz out with right elbow surgery. (8-10 weeks)
Return: Unknown
Carlos Delgado out with hip surgery. (10 weeks)
Return: August
Jose Reyes out with a torn right hamstring. (4-6 weeks)
Return: Unknown
Angel Pagan out with a groin injury. (2-3 weeks)
Return: Elligble to return
Carlos Beltran out with a bone bruise on his knee. (2-4 weeks)
Return: Unknown
Oliver Perez out with an inflamed knee. (2-3 weeks)
Return: 2 more starts
John Maine out with a fatigued shoulder. (2-3 weeks)
Return: 1 more start
Now Gary Sheffield got a cortisone shot earlier today and will not be put on the Mets List, i mean Disabled List. It's a matter of time before he goes on the DL. This is actually really bad. The Mets entire opening day roster, it seems, has gotten injured, or will appear to get injured. With the luck this team has, I'd hire a hundred guards to watch Wright and Santana. They need the protection, badly.
